Endodontics (Root-canal treatment)

Teeth too can get infected. When tooth decay extends deep into the tooth or damage occurs as a result of trauma, the nerve that resides inside the tooth becomes inflamed and has to be removed. The gaps left inside the root, called root canals, will need to be filled to prevent further infection. This procedure is referred to as root canal or endodontic treatment. This procedure can prove to be complex as curvy canals often present challenging scenarios, which should only be treated by an endodontist. At MDS, we are lucky to have our own very experienced endodontist Dr Vivian Huey-Wen Jeng who is able to perform the procedure on site.
