Teeth are such an integral body part for overall health and wellbeing that can often be overlooked. You want to ensure the people looking after your teeth to have the upmost standards of care and safety in place. Is your dentist a QIP accredited dental practice? Do you know what that accreditation is and why it’s important that your dentist has it? If not, read on to find out!

QIP stands for Quality Innovation Performance. QIP and the Australian Dental Association (ADA) have collaborated to develop private dental practice accreditation. The program has been developed in line with requirements and expectations of the dental profession and the National Safety and Quality Health Service standards (NSQHS). The NSQHS were created and are regulated by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in health care as part of the Australian Health Service Safety and Quality Accreditation (AHSSQA) Scheme. Combined, the NSQHS standards and AHSSQA Scheme were created to provide a reliable requirement of high-quality care and safety across national health services in Australia.

Manningham Dental Specialists is proud to be a fully QIP accredited practice. When we say we have high standards for our levels of patient care and safety, we have the accreditation to back it up.

We want going to the dentist to be as comfortable and easy experience as possible for all our patients.

If you’re not currently with a QIP accredited dental practice or are just looking for a new dentist in general, it’s a good idea to find one that is. To book an appointment with us, give our friendly reception team a call today or send us a message through our website.
